Classes for Beginning Students
Maybe you and your child have taken some music classes before, or maybe you don't have any musical skills or experience. Either way, you'll fit right in and learn a lot in my beginning classes!
 
The Music in Me: ages 3-4
This class is a fun introduction to piano, solfege, rhythm, and note-reading. We'll be singing lots of fun songs, playing our first notes on the piano, learning to recognize notes on the staff, singing solfege (DO RE MI), and playing basic rhythms on all kinds of fun instruments!

Harmony Road Level 1: ages 4½ - 6
In this class, we'll start to learn the fundamentals of music, including the geography of the piano, five-finger position playing, solfege singing, rhythm comprehension, and musical notation and theory. Students will also get to participate in our school-wide recital at the end of the semester!

Young Musician Level 1: ages 5-7 or 6-8*
This class emphasizes keyboard playing and note reading, supported by a well-rounded curriculum that includes solfege singing, music theory concepts, and rhythm comprehension. Students will also get to participate in the school-wide recital at the end of the semester!
*Age group varies each session depending on demand.

Keyboard Prep Level 1: ages 7-10
The goal of this class is to guide students toward total musicianship by developing keyboard and performance skills, practicing ear training and solfege singing, delving into music theory and rhythm comprehension, and experimenting with composition. Students will also get to participate in our school-wide recital at the end of the semester!
