In this class, we'll start to learn the fundamentals of music, including five-finger position playing, solfege singing (DO RE MI), rhythm comprehension, and musical notation. Students will sing along and play simple piano and rhythm parts with fun summertime songs like "Great Green Gobs" and "On Top of Spaghetti." Classes are 55 minutes each, with a maximum class size of eight students. This class is intended for students ages 6 to 7½. Parent participation is required.

If there is enough demand, we sometimes offer introductor summer classes for beginners. The summer session typically meets in June and July, and families can choose how many classes they'd like to sign up for. We determine our summer schedule at the end of our spring session.
